Glassine paper is a smooth and translucent paper that is air, water and grease resistant. Glassine paper is made from 100% wood-pulp through a unique process called supercalendering; a paper finishing process that involves the paper being run through a series of polished metal rollers under high pressure to create a smooth, glossy surface.
Is glassine paper durable?
Yes, glassine paper is known for its durability despite its thin and lightweight nature. It's often used for packaging delicate items because it offers a level of protection against moisture, grease, and air without being bulky. Generally, glassine paper is tear-resistant and can withstand moderate handling and storage conditions.
Is glassine paper water-resistant?
